Alice Howarth

Open Research Project Officer, UK Reproducibility Network

Dr Alice Howarth, Open Research Project Officer for the UK Reproducibility Network (UKRN) in the Open Research Programme, is developing a range evaluation tools for mapping the success of the programme over its five-year lifespan and the prevalence of high-quality open research among participating institutions.

Alice is co-leading a pilot project where higher education institutions and solutions providers, ranging from academic journals to research insight tool specialists collaborate to develop research indicators to measure the impact of open research. Alice sits on the UNESCO Working Group on Open Science Monitoring Framework and the Open Science Monitoring Initiative, which aims to encourage the adoption of open science monitoring principles.
