Daniella Lowenberg

Daniella Lowenberg is on a 2-year assignment to the Administration for Children and Families at the US Department of Health and Human Services where she is the Senior Advisor for Data Governance, working to develop agency open and restricted use data strategies. She is on loan from University of California Office of the President (UCOP) where she was a Senior Data Publishing Product Manager. Her roles included directing the product and technology for Dryad, leading the Make Data Count initiative, and co-founding a global working group on recommendations for the responsible handling of ethics and integrity in publishing research data. Prior to her time at UC, Daniella oversaw the open data policy at the scientific publisher Public Library of Science (PLOS). She continues to be involved in Make Data Count as an Advisor through her role at UCOP.
